This page was made, originally, in January 1999 as an english 9 honors' assignment for Mr Gen at El Segundo High School. The assignment was to create a webpage about the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, as we were reading the book Hiroshima, and were going to be participating in a debate over whether the United States should have dropped the a-bomb on both Nagasaki and Japan. I was on the pro-bomb team (we drew straws), though I wrote this assignment against the bomb. The anti-bomb team won the debate in the end, but the people who deflected from my team said they switched sides not because the other team kicked butt in their debate, but because of personal morality issues. I personally don't think personal morality issues should have been involved, as it was supposed to be a debate, and they should have voted for whomever had the better argument ::shrug:: oh well. We were only in 9th grade. ^_^
